Hello, everyone! We decided to build this website because we do think a lot of Roger's musical talents and his charity work. There are so many wonderful fan sites of the Who, however, it is difficult to research his solo works.
HCSociety is a shared account and there are two web mistresses on this site.

Hi, I'm kallan and my first tongue isn't English. Therefore, this site sometimes may seem strange and has a lot of grammatical errors. If you find out any mistakes on this website that you believe to be grammatically incorrect, please let me know!
This website began when I started to collect Roger's songs/pictures/articles and talk with another Roger girl from the Whotour.com.
We sometimes discussed his charity works and passion for music in more detail.
Roger's songs are bridge between us across the sea.
I can't explain how much Roger has influenced us.
In time, we were able to accept the fact that would not live another day without his music. LOL
(I used to listen only to jazz music, but now, I'm also interested in British classic rock.)
Although he Is the toughest part of the Who's hard little heart, some wholligans are criticizing his voice, saying he spoils the delicacy of songs written by Pete.
Please just imagine and look closely at the garden after rain fall, and you'll see that the trees and plants growing appear more fresh and fantastic. It's the water that makes them look so lively and sweet. It's the power of water that revives beauty of living things just a magician's wand. Yes, we need water.
Roger's works bring joy to our heart. We hope this site does the same to you.
Thank you,
kallan

Roger's artistic power first amazed me when I heard See Me, Feel Me from Woodstock.
The opening lines of the song were soft, tortured, delicate... a plaintive cry that somehow grasped onto hope through incredible pain. It was transcendental, and it was completely foreign to my ears. I had always loved music from the sixties and seventies, but this was something completely different; a voice that carried a different kind of weight -- unique even to soul and the blues.
This voice wasn't perfect; there were rasps and squeaks, cracks and dropped "h"s, but it was passionate. Beneath its fractured sensitivity, the voice contained an incredible driving power, a soaring optimism that perfectly matched Pete's description of the song as a concluding prayer.
Long before I knew the story of Tommy, Roger's performance made me live the experiences of the song's character. Each so-called imperfection, every vocal hurdle that he climbed in that proverbial mountain provided insight into another facet of the character's journey. In the end, the imperfections made the song complete.
Despite the numerous characters he portrays through music and through film, it is Roger himself who embodies many of the Who's underlying themes. His perseverance and undying passion continue to drive the band forward, and while the words he sings are often from another's hand, it is Roger who transforms them into something tangible for all of us.
Thanks to Roger and The Who, I was incredibly fortunate to connect with many wonderful people...including an amazing lady named kallan. Her wit, honesty, and selfless generosity continue to amaze me every day. As visitors to this site, I hope you too will have the great fortune of witnessing her incredible soul as you explore these pages about Roger Daltrey.
(This message was snuck by the head webmistress, who denies this statement)
